Wilmington Blue Rocks, Minor League Baseball

Minor League baseball provides a terrific alternative to the big leagues. Delaware is home to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the minor league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
A trip to Frawley Stadium is a great way to see future baseball stars. The stadium is conveniently located off of Interstate-95, close to Baltimore and Philadelphia. Frawley can hold approximately 6,500 fans, providing an intimate atmosphere for all the fans.
Just be ready to catch a baseball flying your way! A trip to the ballpark is a bargain, with seats starting at $4 for children. The most expensive seat in the house is only $10. You’ll also find the concession to more affordable than at a Major League Stadium.
Your children will be excited to see the team mascots, or many of the cartoon characters that are attendance throughout the season for special promotional days. There are dollar dog nights, fireworks nights, and giveaways nearly every game. Who doesn’t like to get free stuff?
The park is a great place to go with a group of friends or for a children’s party. There are themed nights for groups and communities that may also be of interest. On several dates, the team hosts all-you-can-eat picnics and buffets.
This season, I am most looking forward to the “Dog Days of Summer” promotion. Fans can bring their dogs to the game. There will be a dog fashion show and dog vendors will be on hand at the park. It will be a true family day out!
