Quick Campfire Crepes
1 Banana, sliced
1 jar of Nutella Hazelnut Spread
Optional- Whipped cream for after cooking to add a little bit of sweet, cool feeling to the hot crepe.
This recipe was used by my family for the first time about 5 years back and has become a staple ever since. While the recipe does not include the very thin layer of dough that a crepe has, it's a quick way to create something like a crepe and with my family the name just stuck.
Essentially you spread the nutella over the tortilla and include pieces of sliced banana. Then, package this creation up in foil and place into the fire to lightly cook.
You want these to be a VERY light, golden-brown. If you overcook this recipe the crepe will become burnt and fall apart and thus become quite the messy endeavor.
Once the crepe is lightly toasted by the fire, remove from the wrapper and enjoy soft banana really being set off by the sweetness of the Nutella's hazelnut flavor. Top it off with a little whipped cream if you're feeling daring!
