Lake Ouachita State Park, Arkansas
The park rangers were very nice and any questions that I had, they answered. Everyone was really pleasant and nice. They have their own little grilling pad, with a picnic table and it was graveled so you didn’t have to walk through mud if it rained. They also allowed pets, as long as they were not making a lot of noise all the time. My family loved to go to the beach and play volleyball, as well as watch all the tiny little fish swim up between our feet. Also while my husband was fishing or going on a boat, I was able to watch my daughter at the beach or playground. The playground was well equipped with lots to do. It is overall the most beautiful place to be. I will always go back there with my family because I refuse to go anywhere else! What I liked, is there is more than 1 bath house, so when we would go to the other side of the lake while we were hiking or walking, we had access to the restrooms. They all had hot water and they were very neat and tidy. When we wanted to have a small bonfire we could. All we had to do was ask the rangers or the office for some fire wood. They would provide it for us because they want the nature to be preserved as much as possible, which is something we love about Lake Ouachita State Park. This park comes highly recommended. Please visit this beautiful place! http://www.lakeouachita.org/lake-ouachita-state-park.htm
