Johnny Appleseed Park, Fort Wayne, IN

The Johnny Appleseed park is a city run park that can be found at 1500

I have fond memories of this place. It is a cute little park among the
trees in Fort Wayne. The rates are really cheap as well it is only $18
night of $108 for the week.

The sites are dirt and have a central water that can accommodate the whole circle and electric at all sites. There are not full hook ups but they do offer the dump station free for camper and a Honeywagon service for $10 per trip. You just have to go down to the office the day before you need him to come.

Everyone there is very nice. There is an ice cream truck that that comes around the campground about every week night.

They have a really nice playground just at the end of the campground driveway. They have a bathhouse there that is locked so that campers are the only ones that can use it. They were pretty nice and the pressure was good.

They also have some laundry. They are the stackable kind so they are not real big but in a pinch they will get the job done. I did laundry for 6 there while we were there, it just took a while :)

There is a bike trail that runs right along in front of the campground and you could bike to the grocery store or just further down the trail. The shopping area is pretty close and there is a ball field right beside the park.

The WiFi was city provided, but was fast and reliable.

It was an over all great experience. It would be better if they had cable maybe, but there was plenty to do so it was not a necessity.
