Inner Harbor Balitmore Maryland

One of the most beloved family-friendly attractions in the state of Maryland is located in the state's largest city - Baltimore. It is the Inner Harbor, home of many of the best attractions, hotels, and restaurants in the state. You'll find something for everyone no matter what their ages, tastes, abilities, or interests.

If you like boats and boating, there are do it yourself paddle boats, water taxis taking you to and from the various sites on the harbor, scenic tour boats, and occasional ships to tour. At one end of harborplace, near the Science Center, is a very large Carousal. Along the pier are various stands and hawkers selling local goods and food.

Two large buildings house a variety of stores and restaurants, including Maryland's famous Phillips Seafood Restaurant. Choose your favorite seafood, from steamed crabs to fried shrimp, along with Maryland fried chicken and other entrees and side dishes. At most eating establishments located indoors, there is an outdoor eating area, too.

I've already mentioned the Science Center, which has plenty of hands on activities for the kids. The Baltimore Aquarium is another large draw. With floor to ceiling "tanks" and a "tropical rain forest" to walk through, you can be entertained for hours.

There are plenty of campgrounds nearby, along with the Convention Center. http://baltimore.org/baltimore-neighborhoods/inner-harbor will give you more details on all the attractions at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. Enjoy your visit!

More Inner Harbor

When traveling in Maryland, there are a few things that you absolutely must see and do! My favorite attraction in Maryland is the Baltimore Aquarium! (http://www.aqua.org/)

The aquarium features so many interesting animals that people can't always see. I took my kids there for a family day, and we had a blast! The aquarium takes a good few hours to get through, and they feature special events like feeding animals.

Another great attraction in Maryland is the Baltimore Inner Harbor. (http://baltimore.org/about-baltimore/inner-harbor) The area features many family-friendly restaurants such as Hard Rock Café, and is a very clean area. At the Inner Harbor, you can purchase tickets to take tours of ships such as the USS Torsk, a submarine that worked around Pearl Harbor. Lighthouses are also open for tours. My family enjoyed touring every ship docked in the harbor! It was neat to be able to see all of the ships in their original state.

Another great, family-friendly place to go in Maryland is Ocean City. (http://ococean.com/) Families can spend a long weekend at the beach during the summer. They can soak up the sun, or even go shopping along the boardwalk.

If you're looking for shopping, you should also visit the Chesapeake area. The town features hundreds of different stores to please every age. You can take a day to go boating in the bay with the kids, go crabbing along the docks, and shop in the town. There are so many destinations to go to in Maryland, and these are only just a few!
