Hwy 71 RV, Cedar Creek, Texas
We stayed at Hwy 71 RV in Cedar Creek Texas. We have very mixed emotions when it comes to this park. We were there a few weeks, checking out the Austin, Texas area, so saw perhaps more of this park than many others do. First, the Good: The park is very clean, and the bathrooms are among the best I have ever seen at an RV park anywhere in the country. They have a nice playground, the sites are spacious and well maintained. The park is gated, and has a pool and decent laundry. Even has computers for guests to use. The rates are good for the area, and the location ideal. The Bad: They seem to be anti-child, even though they make it seem like they like kids! Children of any age (even teens) must be supervised at all times. For example, if your RV boarders the playground, and you let your 12 year old go sit on it, you will get reprimanded. Bikes are not allowed, nor are balls. Really? Our kids can't ride their bikes? Odd. And the management is somewhat uptight, mostly about children. And this is with well behaved children! Bottom Line: If you need to stay near Austin overnight, or maybe for 2-3 nights, stay here. If you want to stay a week or more, it will drive you nuts! http://www.hwy71rvpark.com/
