Hand Cove Resort and RV Park, Mountain Home, Arkansasby John Wilson
I recently had the pleasure of taking a week to enjoy the Hand Cove Resort and RV Park in Arkansas. It's just a few miles away from the city of Mountain Home, and I honestly haven't been a more beautiful RV park in some time. It being nestled right next to a crystal blue lake doesn't hurt things any. Had all the hookups you'd expect with easy access, friendly owners to give me the tour, and there wasn't a spot of trash or filth in sight. I've been to some nasty places traveling up and down the country, but there's honestly nothing to complain about here. I can't say if this is common procedure because the owner and I hit it off so well, but in the morn the staff at the main lodge saw that we were up and cooked up some breakfast! Can't say I've had that sort of treatment before. They seemed to be doing it for the rest of the travelers there too so either they were in a good mood, or that's just how they roll at the Hand Cove Resort. Rented a few canoes and took them out on the lake and watched the clouds drift by the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. When we came back everything was in place...nobody tampered with any of our gear or effects. So no trouble there, and when we left we received a small discount for not leaving any liter. If you're ever near Mountain Home, Arkansas, be sure to check out the Hand Cove Resort and RV Park. I couldn't speak more highly of my experience there, and I want everybody to get a chance to see what they have to offer.
