Ghost Hill Campground in Stone Mountain, GAby Richelle
The Ghost Hill Campground is located at 1295 Tuggle Drive in Stone them on the web at http://ghosthillcampground.com and the email is charlie@ghosthillcampground.com. We stayed there a total of 8 nights and the total was only $175, so the price can not be beat. Espically since the other campground in the area is at Stone Mountain itself and the prices there were crazy (at least we thought so). Ghost Hill has all back in , full hook up spots. not the levelest, but were not that bad, we only had to use one row of blocks. They do have a bathhouse but that is really all it has to offer. There is some grass. It would really benefit from a playground. The layout is a circle and it is set way off the main road, so we let the kids ride bikes in the circle. It is also set on a hill. The owner lives onsite. There was no internet when we were there but Charlie was working on getting that avaliable. There is no laundry onsite but there were some nice laundry places within about 5 minutes drive. All being said if you are looking for a really cheap place to go to explore Atlanta or Stone Mountain and don't care about frill, this is the place for you. Charlie had just taken over the campground from his parents so I would look for him to do improvements to happen. Don't forget to go over to Stone Mountain while you are there. If you bike in or walk in to Stone Mountain its free but if you drive they do charge a small fee. The distance is very bikable from the park as we did it with 3 kids riding themselves and one in a bike trailer. Please see full review at: http://travelingtek.com/2010/11/18/ghost-hill-campground/
