Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia
by Annie
My husband and I visited the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a blast! We went to two of our friends and had an amazing time. The Georgia Aquarium also has the largest tank in the world!
It was beautiful! The room that the tank is in is set up like a movie theater, and you can sit down and just watch the fish swim and do their thing. We were mesmerized. We must have stayed there looking at it for about 45 minutes.
They also have the whale shark which was amazing to see. You almost can’t fathom the size!
But I would have to say that my favorite part was the Titanic Exhibit. You have to pay a small fee separate from your entrance ticket, but it is SO worth it.
Before you go in, they give you a boat ticket with a passenger’s name on it, a one paragraph biography about them, and what income level they were. When you walk in, they have a life-size room of the wealthy bedrooms and the type of music that would be playing at that time, objects retrieved from the shipwreck sight, life-size rooms of the poorest bedrooms, an exact replica of the hallways that you would walk though if you were on the titanic with sound effects, and so much more!
They even have a chunk of an iceberg that you can touch! I can go on and on about that exhibit. And at the end, you find out whether the passenger you hold in your hand survived or not.
The whole Georgia Aquarium experience was one to remember forever. I would recommend it to families of any age. I hope you get to experience the joy that my husband and I did. http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/
