Fort Summit KOA, Davenport, Florida

by The Perkins

If you're looking for Orlando Florida camping but want to avoid the crowds, then consider a stay in nearby Davenport. The Fort Summit KOA is actually closer to the Disney parks than Orlando parks are, and has a nice country feel to it (there are actually trees there!)

This park is spacious, clean, with a swimming pool, kiddie pool, mini golf course (not over the top on that one), and small playground. Pull through sites have BBQ/fire pits which for some reason seem to be rare in campgrounds.

Management is friendly, there is a shuttle service to Disney, a big camp store, and even counter service food. Right off the highway, close to everything, good prices, and extremely family-friendly. Can't go wrong with this central Florida campground!
