If you want a super fun, kind of quirky family vacation Minnesota is the place to go! The Science Museum has the only complete and mounted triceratops in the world and there is always the Spam Museum to give the entire family something to laugh about. You may or may not be eating Spam in your RV, but at least this museum gives the kids some rather unique entertainment.
If you are more interested in a historical or educational family vacation Minnesota is still the place to be.
You can step into Minnesota life over 100 years ago at The Landing or visit some of the many museums scattered throughout the state.
There are also some great ways to entertain the kids while visiting Minnesota tourist attractions.
Underwater Adventures puts more than 3,000 sea creatures on display and Wild Mountain Waterpark is always tons of fun for all.

Its easy to do. Here's a review from one reader:
Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox
I have to say my favorite place to visit in Minnesota has to the be the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues in Bemidji. When you go to visit the statues, which are located in a beautiful park overlooking Lake Bemidji, you are also visiting one of the hotspots for the legend of Paul Bunyan.
I have fond memories of traveling to see those statues and order Paul Buyan named food at the local restaurants.
I stayed at the Paul Bunyan hotel. And learned so much about Paul Bunyan.
Not only is he the hero of Minnesota, but my own state, North Dakota, can lay claim to him.
I think the best time to visit Paul and Babe would have be over the 4th of July holiday.
There is a carnival which sets up next to the statues.
It has games, rides, and is a lot of fun for the kids.
Now, I have been to my share of bad carnivals, but this is a good one. The rides look nice and the lights work. The games are carnival games, but you do get a prize. And best of all, all the carnies each have at least 24 teeth.
The only bad thing about visiting during the 4th is the city will be busy and full. One has to make sure they book a campsite well in advance. But if you do stay you will be treated to an excellent fireworks display over a beautiful lake.
So please, if you are traveling through visit the Paul and Babe statues in Bemidji. Take your picture. Enjoy the carnival and small town feel. Best of all, you can tell all your friends who went to the Paul Bunyan statue in Brainerd that you got to your picture taken with Babe, who is much cooler. Blue!
