Entertain for Peanuts, then Go Army and Have a Cow in Alabama!by Mary Evenns
The Peanut Festival is in Dothan Alabama, its from around October 29th to November 7th. They have different shows usually including a sea lion show, a petting zoo, peanut art, and farm animal shows. The first time I went I got to milk a cow! My husband and I also got our picture taken with two sea lions, and the sea lions even gave us a kiss on the cheek! Check out more information at http://www.nationalpeanutfestival.com/ The Army Aviation Museum is a great way to spend the day its open all year with the exception of holidays of course. You will see all different types of helicopters and some of the very first planes. When you go be sure to go through one of the guided tours, you will learn so much and there will never be a dull moment. The website gives more information http://www.armyavnmuseum.org/ Plus you can get some really cute things at the gift shop that you couldn’t get elsewhere! And the perfect way to end a wonderful day no matter what you do, is Milky Moos, a little hometown ice cream shop! They make their ice-cream and some other goodies like chocolate and even have some sandwiches! Milky Moos is a must for anyone and everyone who gets a chance to stop! The website http://www.smooochies.com/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Privacy/Default.aspx can give you more information! These three attractions will not disappoint, if you get a chance I promise it is totally worth it!
