Chena Marina RV Park, Fairbanks, Alaska
by Amelia
The best place I have RV'd was with my grandparents up at Chena Marina RV park in Fairbanks. I can remember the commercials on T.V. from when I was a kid and it looked so nice on T.V. When my grandparents came up from Juneau one summer, they had asked me, my mom and my sister to join them and I was beyond thrilled! Let me tell you, that was the best 4 days of my life. The water surrounding the area was as blue as can be and so pretty. There was tons of grass and picnic tables at each camp site. Sure, there wasn't a shower... but who needs that when you're enjoying the outdoors so much? The only bad thing about it was that there were so many people there that year. Don't get me wrong, they were all nice, but we could have enjoyed it a little more with our own privacy. I can't say the management was bad either, the guy that checked up on everything during the day was very nice though. I do not recall his name, but my grandpa seemed pretty fond of him. All in all, it was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. However, you might want to consider going later in the year due to the high amount of people going there! You will certainly enjoy the hot summer air and the cool, refreshing water. http://www.chenarvpark.com/
