Bonnie Rigg Camping Club Becket, Mass.
Bonnie Rigg is in need of some repairs. I stayed there on saturday 7/16/11. In their defense, I did ask for a shaded campsite. What I got was a trailer site that hadn't been cleaned since the trailer left. There was no picnic table, the site was covered with last years leaves, and old tarps. The fire pit was filled with blocks of pressure treated wood. It was shady though.
The bathroom that was highlighted on my map had no hot showers and only one of the toilets flushed. I proceeded to another bathroom which had awesome hot showers, but the urinals didn't flush.
Upon my departure, I asked if the one of the employess/ owners had a key for the ice container. They told me it was unlocked, when I went to get a bag out I was told by a man that "You have to pay for the ice first", like I was going to steal it. Excuse me for not knowing the procedure. I told the girl that I paid how dissatisfied I was with my camping expeience as a whole and all she said was "Next time we will give you a better site" I said, "No you won't because I won't be back. I planned on using this campsite as my homebase to explore the Berkshires, until I stayed there.
This site was $27 a night. I considered it to be a rip off. If the site had been maintained I would have been okay with it. Bonnie Rigg Campground
